Last Friday (Feb 21), our middle and high school students took a long car ride to see the USS Alabama Battleship. They were exhausted on the car ride back to Tallahassee but look at those happy faces, eager to learn! 😊

On Valentine's Day, our elementary students got to spend the day at the Tallahassee Museum, experiencing "A Child’s Life in the 1880s" which goes along with Mr. Rowland's teaching of the 13 colonies.

We have been studying tsumanis, and what better what to learn than a hands-on demonstration? Students got to build a city out of crackers, veggies straws, potato chips, and sour patch kids. Today, to wrap up the unit, we demonstrated how house near the ocean can be affected by tsumanis. Everyone always loves the demonstrations we do!

Yesterday, our annual White Elephant Ornament Exchange took place. This is another Rose Academy classic that students look forward to every year. So much fun and many smiles! No ornaments were harmed during the fun!

The day has finally come! Not only is it Halloween and costumes are encouraged, it is also the day of our annual Fall Festival! Our Leadership kids had worked hard on the booths and it was an amazing success!

Yesterday, our youngest groups got to visit the Jacksonville Zoo. Look at those happy faces! 😊 This field trip provided them with an opportunity to see some of the animals that they have been studying.

It was a rainy Friday but that didn't stop us from having our enrichment classes! Instead of having it just on Friday, we got to have our enrichment classes twice this week!

Fun fact: the sewing class is led by one of our talented 10th graders.

Senior Spotlight: Hayley Rose

Hayley has attended Rose Academy for 14 years (she has literally grown up with us 😱), and her favorite memories at Rose are getting straight A's and hanging out with her friends.

Hayley is one of four seniors this year who had the opportunity to dual enroll at TCC, and she made all A's both semesters.

Her greatest accomplishments are making the President's List her first semester at TCC and joining two honor societies: The National Society of Leadership and Sucess and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society her second semester.

Her advice to future seniors: Don't have too many high expectations of yourself. Reward yourself after achieving every goal.

We are incredibly proud of Hayley and her accomplishments. We love getting to be a part of her journey. 💕

Mrs. Sue leads her finance class in understanding a real-world application of eating at a restaurant, complete with a menu, tax, and tipping.

Students are always excited (and grateful) to spend their hard-earned finance money at the end of the year fun that Mrs. Sue has planned (more fun is yet to come).

No storm is going to stop us from bringing the best for our Rose Academy students.
